We welcome our new car, and say goodbye to the old silver van

We finally reached the point where our 2002 van was just about to go (166,000+ miles and a bad exhaust smell will do that), so we took the plunge and started car shopping.

Bye Bye old van !!!

 It took a few months, and a few test drives, and a few close calls where the dealer sold the car we went to test drive as we got there, but we found the new (to us) 2013 Ford Flex of our dreams.
We got the car off of the internet from Marthaler Ford in Worthington, MN. They delivered our new car, and drove the old one back north for us.  There were a few bumps after the delivery including a new windshield and some readjustments at the local Ford dealer, but overall it was a great deal for us.

Everybody is thrilled, especially Mom now that she has her new "Heat seaters" or heated seats if you prefer.

Our "new" car has a little over 30,000 miles on it, and the kids can't wait to take a big road trip this summer.  Eli suggested we go to Seattle, I think that's far enough for him :-)
