Day 3 of vacation, and we head to Peninsula state park

Our resort is in Sturgeon Bay, on the south end of most of the "touristy" things. We had about a half hour drive up to the Peninsula state park to do some hiking and our first real visit to the bay.

Our resort had a great little restaurant by the beach, and we happily enjoyed quarter chicken wings for dinner.  The kids went down to the beach with Mom and explored the canoes and surf boards while I waited for dinner. 

After dinner was over we went out to the fireside and enjoyed the cool weather and just relaxed by the water and the fire.
