We saw the top of Clingman's Dome where a nice young couple got engaged right in front of us. We then hiked to Laurel Falls with our new walking sticks.
The kids also earned their Smoky Mountain National Park Junior Ranger badges. The last ranger program they completed was "Retiring the Colors". It was fun to learn about the history of the flag and to take down and fold the flag for the park for the day.
After a nice day in the park, we decided to take a swim. Our hotel had a nice, heated, salt water pool that was very soothing to those of us with aching muscles.
